SECRETS OF FRENCH MOULAGE WITH FRANCYS SALEH

Learn from scratch the technique used to this day in Paris haute couture houses.

Learn in a simple and didactic way the legitimate French three-dimensional modeling method where the piece is built directly on the mannequin or on your client's body.

What do our students have to say?

Sewing saved my parents who were going through financial difficulties as soon as I was born, my mother started making the pieces and my father sold them.

Since I was little, like any good seamstress's daughter, I grew up at the foot of the machine. I grew up a little and started helping the family business: I sewed, sewed buttons, removed the lint and learned to work with the graphic part of the molds. When it came time to choose a profession, there was no doubt: The path of fashion chose me.

At university, the love for this universe only grew, my dream of being a fashion designer was getting closer and closer, there was only one problem: I didn't understand modeling!

After several different courses, methods and teachers, I still didn't understand flat modeling!

Only later did I understand that it was not the fault of the teachers, the methods or the didactics, it was my difficulty with numbers and calculations that held me back.

The first Moulage class in college opened my eyes, as there were few professionals in the market, a teacher from São Paulo came to teach us the technique. After that I dedicated my entire professional life to Moulage.

I worked as a designer, saw my creations in magazines and was invited to exhibit in Paris. Throughout my career I have fulfilled many dreams, but it was in the classroom that I found myself and discovered my true purpose in life: TEACHING!

What will you learn?

01

See the result of the part without having to make numerous tests and adjustments:
when we trace a mold in flat modeling, we need to make the correction of that mold. At Moulage, it is possible to preview the final result during the process and even try the canvas on the client.

02

Adapt the modeling to different types of bodies:
people with postural problems, hyperlordosis, scoliosis, kyphosis, in addition to assisting transgender bodies, which have other specificities.

03

Create unique shapes
that are only possible in Moulage:

either in a simple pence, which in moulage is different (because we can make it anatomically), or in the effect of a drape. Certain shapes are only possible in moulage.

04

Avoid calculations and
complex diagrams:
if you, like me, are not good with numbers and math, then you will love working with Moulage!

05

Understand the entire learning process of flat modeling:
Moulage enriches our repertoire and broadens our field of vision. This way we understand more precisely what a pence is for, for example.

06

Save time
and money:

with Moulage you can already see the result on the mannequin, without the need to make numerous "pilot pieces" until the modeling is right.

07

It will be easier when modeling
curved body parts
and also when positioning necklines.

08

optimize your work
with elastic fabrics, such as mesh:

Moulage is also excellent for those who work with lingerie and beachwear.

Who do I recommend moulage to?

  • For those who have difficulties with calculations or do not want to be stuck in the mold of flat modeling;

  • For those who want to charge what they always dreamed of for their work;

  • Who seeks to meet different types of bodies: Postural problems, kyphosis, hyperlordosis, scoliosis. And also meet transgender bodies or any specificity.

  • Want to save time and money: With the moulage you can already see the result on the mannequin, without the need for several tests to get the modeling right.

  • Who wants to start even without a professional mannequin: You can start with a simple and super accessible bust mannequin or on your client's body.
